Mike is a Geospatial Analyst with the Center for Automotive Research (CAR) where his job consists of a wide variety of responsibilties from geospatial analysis to mobile app developement. Currently, he is interested in Objective C with the help of Xcode and Interface Builder for developing geospatial apps on iOS. Mike just adopted two puppies that have an unquenchable thirst for chaos; they're amazing.
Mike develops mobile apps in Objective C using the Cocoa framework with an emphasis on clean and innovative designs. He believes in the proliferation of HTML5 mobile apps.
Arthur is an Assistant Research Scientist working for Michigan Technological University (MTU) at the Michigan Tech Research Institute (MTRI). He bikes anywhere he can and truly believes the agricultural revolution in Ann Arbor, MI can change the world. His interests include recreational mathematics, open-source software development, gardening and Tigers baseball.
Arthur is an experienced Python and Javascript programmer. He deploys Django projects for web mapping and decision support leveraging client-side libraries such as ExtJS, Leaflet, Protovis, GeoExt, OpenLayers and Highcharts. His database has always been and will always be PostgreSQL. For web mapping he uses PostGIS and Geoserver.
